PARTNER

Jordan focuses his practice on complex litigation related to employment law, fair housing, disability rights, and civil rights. He has served as Class Counsel for lawsuits representing hundreds of workers subjected to wage-and-hour violations, as well as multi-plaintiff cases with complex or novel claims, resolving in the six and seven figures.

Jordan also has a long commitment to fair housing work. Before becoming a lawyer, he worked as the Director of Compliance and a Fair Housing Investigator at a fair housing center serving the Chicagoland Metropolitan Area.

As a litigator, he has pursued numerous claims under the Federal Fair Housing Act, on behalf of individuals who were denied housing or evicted based on their protected characteristics, such as race, family status, or requiring disability accommodations.

Jordan seeks justice for individuals who have been wrongfully terminated, and also pursues claims for actions that occurred while they were still employed. He recently won a trial in King County Superior Court for failure to accommodate an employee’s pregnancy.

Jordan has litigated cases at all levels of courts in Washington State, including the U.S. District Courts, Superior Courts throughout Washington, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Jordan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience prosecuting civil rights violations.  His litigation experience includes:

  • Enforcing civil rights and anti-discrimination, harassment and retaliation laws including under the Washington Law Against Discrimination and federal Civil Rights statutes;

  • Fighting for Fair Housing for clients discriminated or retaliated against in the rental, sales, or lending of housing, and defending unlawful evictions and foreclosures;

  • Exposing unfair and deceptive business practices through the Consumer Protection Act;

  • Class Action litigation to vindicate the rights of classes of people aggrieved by unlawful policies and practices.

Jordan received his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law and is licensed to practice in the state of Washington. Jordan is originally from Oak Park, Illinois, and received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon.
